What is a “Healing Sacrament”?
A special church thing that helps us feel better in our hearts (and sometimes our bodies) when we pray and use holy oil. |
How does Baptism help us heal? |
It welcomes us into God’s family and washes away the “big mistake” we all start with (original sin). |
What does the “Confession” (Penance) do? |
It lets us tell God we’re sorry, fixes our heart, and makes us feel clean again. |
Why is the Eucharist important? |
Jesus gives us real food for our souls—bread that becomes His Body and wine that becomes His Blood. |
What does Confirmation give us? |
It gives a special boost of the Holy Spirit, making the promise we got at Baptism stronger. |
What does holy oil mean in Baptism? |
The oil shows God’s strength and the Holy Spirit’s help; the priest puts a little on the top of our head. |
What’s a “Mortal Sin”? |
A very serious mistake that turns us away from God—like breaking a big promise with Him. |
What’s a “Venial Sin”? |
A small mistake that doesn’t break our friendship with God completely. |
What does “Anointing of the Sick” do? |
A priest puts holy oil on someone who’s sick or old, praying for healing and forgiveness. |
What does “Evangelization” mean? |
Sharing the Good News about Jesus with other people. |
How can we live like the sacraments every day? |
• Take good care of our bodies (no too‑much junk food or drugs). |
