The direct tax put upon people for land was called taille

On the other hand, Tithe was a portion of annual produce or earnings , taken as tax for the clergy.

What was the Old regime?

It was the socio-political system followed uptil the year 1789.

It was last held 1614 .It was then held at 5th May 1789.

1. On 14th July The Bastille was stormed

2. +The people in the country side revolted

3. On 20TH jUNE The tennis court oath was taken

4. On 14th August 1789 the The decree of abolishing the feudal system of obligations and taxes had been passed in the national assembly.

5. The third Estate formed the National Assembly in1789.
