Work Product (in RE)
A recorded intermediate or final result generated in a work process, stored electronically and representable in natural language, templates, models, drawings, or prototypes.
Model (in RE)
An abstract representation of an existing part or reality to be created, used to maintain an overview of and insight into requirements.
Properties of a Model
Abstract representation of reality that reduces information and suits a specific purpose.
UML Class Diagram
Diagram that Shows a set of objects that have a similar structure, behaviour and relationships. Attributes describe a property of the class.
UML Activity Diagram
Diagram that Provides actions/activities representing the non-interruptible action of objects. It illustrates the transitions from one action state to another
UML Sequence Diagram
The sequence diagram frame defines the boundaries of the scenario.
UML State Diagram
Diagram that has a state governing the reaction of the state machine to events and a transition that represents a switch from one state to another state.
Prototype
A preliminary, partial realization of certain characteristics of a system. Can be exploratory, evolutionary, or experimental.
Glossary (in Requirements Engineering)
A collection of terms and their definitions, used to ensure a common understanding of the terminology used in requirements documentation.
