What was the Anti-commintern pact?
It was designed to limit the influence of the Communist International in Germany. Between Japan, Germany and the Soviet Union.
Hitler and von Papen?
Germans blamed the Great Depression on former chancellor Heinrich Bruning, forcing him to abdicate. His successor, von Papen, was also removed from the position and so teamed up with Hitler to get him the necessary support to become the next chancellor.
What was Article 48, the Emergency Laws?
Gave the police more power and allowed Hitler to arrest whoever he wanted without fair trial.

Combat communism, protect racial purity, one leader, unite all Germanic people etc.
What did the New Deal focus on?
Relief, Recovery and Reform. Put more money into economy and create more jobs.
What did Japan do to combat the Great Depression?
Finance Minister devalued the yen and deficit spending. Pushed for aggressive territorial expansion.
