Sunlight (in Transpiration)
A factor causing transpiration to be faster during daytime because stomata remain open to allow the inward diffusion of carbon dioxide for photosynthesis.
Stomata at Night
Pores that remain closed during night time, resulting in transpiration hardly occurring.
Temperature (in Transpiration)
A factor that increases the rate of transpiration on hot summer days due to faster evaporation of water.
Wind (in Transpiration)
A factor that increases transpiration when blowing faster because water vapour moves away faster from the surface of leaves.
Humidity
Moisture in the air that reduces transpiration because air cannot hold any water molecules when it is already laden with moisture.
