Groupthink

Conformity
The act of changing one's beliefs or behaviors to align with the group.
Dissent
Expressing disagreement and offering a different perspective within a group.
Symptoms of Groupthink
Indicators that group members are vulnerable to groupthink, such as an illusion of invulnerability or pressure to conform.
Cult
A group that exhibits intense and unquestioning devotion to a single cause and promotes groupthink.
Milgram Paradigm
An experiment designed to study obedience, where participants administered shocks to a learner based on incorrect answers.
Psychological Distance
The perceived distance between individuals, influencing levels of obedience in Milgram's experiments.
Inoculation Effect
A strategy for resisting influence by first presenting reasons for a belief and then debunking them.
