Copyright
Legal protection granted to the creators of original works, comprising their exclusive rights to use and distribute those works.
Intellectual works
Creative works protected under copyright law, including literature, music, art, and computer programs.
Berne Convention
An international agreement that provides a framework for copyright protection across member countries.
Collective work
A work created by assembling different works or parts of works, which has a self-contained character.
Economic utilization
The right of an author to control the commercial exploitation of their work, including reproduction, distribution, and public performance.
Moral right
An author's right to claim authorship and to oppose any modification that would harm their reputation.
Duration of copyright
The time period during which copyright protection is effective, typically lasting the life of the author plus an additional number of years.
Creative character
The originality and inventive nature of a work that qualifies it for copyright protection.
Exclusive right of reproduction
The author's right to make copies of their work through any means of reproduction.
Inalienable rights
Rights that cannot be transferred to another party, ensuring that an author retains certain fundamental rights over their work.
