bipolar disorders
group of disorders in which a person alternates between the hopelessness of depression and the overexcitement of mania

bipolar II disorder
less severe form of bipolar disorder in which people move between depression and a milder form of mania called hypomania

more severe form of bipolar disorder that causes euphoria and high levels of energy that last a week or longer
