Greater tubercle

Rounded process located on the lateral surface of the bone just below the anatomic neck.

Intertubercular groove

Deep depression that separates the lesser and greater tubercles.

Condyle

Expanded distal articular end.

Surgical neck

Constricted area of the body just below the tubercles and is a commoly fractured region.

Trochlea

Smooth elevation on the distal medial aspect.

Radial fossa

Shallow depression on the distal anterior surface that recieves the radial head when the elbow is flexed.

Coronoid fossa

Shallow depression on the distal anterior surface that recieves the coronoid process.

Olecranon fossa

Deep depression on the posterior surface.

Anatomical neck

Narrow constricted portion just inferior to the head and lying in the same oblique plane.

Lateral epicondyle

Easily palpable surface just superior to the humeral condyle on the lateral surface.

Long cylindracal shaft.

Capitulum

Smooth elevation on the distal end, articulates with the radial head.

Medial epicondyle

Easily palpable surface just superior to the humeral condyle on the medial surface.

Head

Large, smooth, and rounded articular end that lies in an oblique plane on the superomedial side and articulates with the shoulder girdle.

Lesser tubercle

Rounded process situated on the anterior surface of the bone immediately below the anatomic neck.
