Cultural Revolution

A massive political and social movement in China from 1966 to 1976, aimed to get rid of traditional ways, capitalism, and political rivals to make the country purely communist.

Communism

A system where the community or the government owns all farms, factories, and property. The main idea is to share everything equally so there are no rich or poor people.

Chairman Mao

Communist leader of China who led the Cultural Revolution.

Archipelago

A group of Island (Japan is an archipelago).

Ring of Fire

A major area in the shape of a horseshoe around the Pacific Ocean known for having a huge number of active volcanoes and experiencing a high number of earthquakes.
