a fall
approach calmly and talk to them, keep them warm. Don’t attempt to move them if injury seems serious, don’t give them food. Call 999 if serious
Burns
be calm, pour burn under cold running water for at least 10 mins. Get cling film or plastic bag and warp the burn wound. Don’t try to pull of clothing stuck to the skin.
cuts and bleeds
put pressure on the wound, try raise it above the chest, if an object is embedded in, don’t pull it out. Call 999 for big bleeds
chocking
might clutch chest or neck, encourage them to cough, tell them what your gonna do first if adult lean them forward and between shoulder blades hit them hard 5 times. For kids bend them over your knee and try then. Call 999 if they stop breathing
head injury
if unconscious check for breathing phone 999. Put them in recovery position and if awake and speaking get them an icepack with a cloth o. it. If they don’t remember what happened call a doctor
shock
signs, dizziness, plans, fast pulse. lay them down lift their feet BUT don’t move them if you think it may cause further injury. Call 999
