Energy-Releasing Reactions
Chemical reactions that give off energy to their surroundings, exemplified by a burning candle, fireworks exploding, and a glow stick glowing.
Energy-Absorbing Reactions
Chemical reactions or processes that take in energy from their surroundings, exemplified by charging a battery, cooking food, and an ice pack becoming cold.
