Kiddushin 30b (part B)
- 3 creators for a baby: God, mother, and father
- When a child is honoring their parents they are also honoring God because when a child reveres + honors their parents they are living by Gods commandments taught by the parents, so the parents got credit for raising the child the way God wants

Kiddushin 31 a-b
Spirit of the Law vs. Letter of the Law
- 1st son: Gives father fancy food but is mean to him when he asks about how he could afford it
- 2nd son: Takes the father's role of serving in the army, giving him his job of grinding the mill because the army job was more dangerous and the son wanted to protect his father, even though he intentionally "stood in his place"
Moral of the story: Your intentions are more important than your impact
