Dispersed Settlement Pattern
A settlement pattern where buildings are spread out.
Linear Settlement Pattern
A settlement pattern where buildings are built in a line.
Nucleated Settlement Pattern

Water Supply (Settlement Factor)
A crucial settlement factor providing freshwater from a nearby river, lake, or spring for drinking, cooking, daily survival, and basic hygiene to prevent diseases from spreading.
Fertile Land (Settlement Factor)
A settlement factor where rich soil allows settlers to grow crops and feed the community, while good land provides grass for animal grazing, creating a reliable food supply for long-term growth.

Population Density
The number of individuals living in a specific unit of area.
Population Distribution
The pattern of where people or organisms are spread out across a specific area.
Stage 1 Population Pyramid
A tall and narrow pyramid with a wide base, representing high and steady birth rates along with high death rates.
Stage 2 Population Pyramid
A population pyramid stage where the birth rate is high and the death rate is lowering.
Stage 3 Population Pyramid
A population pyramid stage where both the birth rate and death rate are low.
Stage 4 Population Pyramid
A population pyramid stage characterized by low birth rates and low death rates.
Stage 5 Population Pyramid
A population pyramid stage that is wide and tall at the top.
