Wrist straps prevent
unwanted static discharge
ESD should be
verified and not taken for granted
Proper operation is checked strap
should be attached to the work surface or electronic rack prior to gaining access to component .
Most wrist straps do not provide
a hard ground but provide high resistance path
High resistance path wrist straps
protects wearer from electrical shocks and dissipate static buildup
Use proper
danger tags and signs when working on water waste systems
PPE
Reflective vest, check leaks, verify no waste on skin of AC, check security and proper stowage of servicing access panels prior to departure
Water and waste system in each AC must be able to support
the volume and capacity of number of passengers and crew
Advanced sensors and software makes
checking level of waste and status of waste tank system easy for AMT’s and flight attendants.
Lavatory service panel is open
Vacuum system disabled ground servicing appear on FAP
Methods of lavatory servicing and equipment
depend on ground handling services by lavatory service trucks or lavatory service carts
Servicing steps for lavatory system
Follow precautions and risk management notes in AMM use PPE
Steps
Check volume quanitity of waste in tank
Open waste service panel door, open cap of waste drain connection, connect vehicle drain hose to waste gate connection
push inner flap lever to open move drain valve pull handle to open
close waste drain valve connect flush fill hose of toilet service vehicle to rinse and fill connection
Flush waste tank with 57 liters Open drain valve, fluid must be drained completely, close drain valve
Use toilet service vehicle fill waste tank with 10 liters of disinfectant/water, toilet vehicle pump off
Remove flush and drain hose, close drain cap. Inner flap close and lock automatically when you close outer drain cap
ensure No leaks from waste
disconnect flush fill hose and let connection drain completely. close cap of fill and rinse connection
clean and dry service panel area with rag
close and latch secure the waste service access door
check FAP to see if vacuum system disabled, ground servicing is gone check volume of waste tank on FAP
Potable
Any liquid used to drink
Portable water system components
Potable water tank, check valves, shut off valves, toilets/lavatories, vacuum systems and pumps
FAP located?
Cabin by entry door l1 right outside flight deck (check system tank quantity for lavatory waste and potable water tank and status messages
FPotable water steps servicing
follow AMM and use PPE
Open water service panel, ground panel turn on Maint electric power bus
Connect water fill hose to port, turn control handle Counter clockwise to fill position, pull handle out
Turn on water pump on truck, check quantity gauge to verify system is filling up with potable water
Tank=full = full light comes on inside the servicing panel
control handle returns to normal position by iteself
Turn off pump
disconnect hose
clean and dry service panel
check for leaks
close & secure potable water servicing panel access door
FAP panel ensure volume of potable water tank display FULL
