Elitist Democracy

A type of “democracy” were only a small group may contribute to politics. Like pre-Jackson era America, Apartheid South Africa, or Russia.

2
New cards

Pluralist Democracy

A type of democracy were most contributions to such are done through political organizations. Like the GOP or the Democratic party. (College board also considers lobbyist groups “democratic” organizations because f**k them. So you also have to include pro-trust lobbyist groups were money is the factor in the organization; not popular support.)

3
New cards

Participatory Democracy

A form of democracy in which representatives make decisions in which the people have some input in. This is not a direct democracy; but in this form of democracy, the people take the place of political organizations or lobbyists with advising politicians by use of assemblies and online forums. (this is similar to how local and some small state governments operate)

The Iron Triangle

Lobbyists give pencil pushers and politicians “accurate” information. Money goes under the table and then politicians orders the bureaucracy to turn a blind eye. And the politicians give the bureaucracy funding.

^Reality^

Lobbyists give pencil pushers and politicians “accurate” information; and give politicians electoral support *cough* money and s*x boats *cough*. Politicians give the bureaucracy funding and “popular” support. The bureaucracy gives lobbyists kickbacks and blind eyes whilst also enforcing the politicians decrees.

7
New cards

Confederalism

A state that is separated into national and regional governments. It is usually not clear which part of the government is more powerful; and usually the regional governments may obstruct or even overrule the national government. (think EU, AOC, or HRE)

8
New cards

Trustee

People or organizations entrusted with the functions of governance. (a non government organisation doing the governments work; with the power of the government)

aka: charities… or people with a lot of lawyers and mutually beneficial relationships with politicians

Even though this process does a lot of good—via genuinely good charities—it is undeniable that it is commonly perverted and corrupted… think of corporate towns, “public” art installations surrounded by private land next to a millionaire’s mansion, or even college board using the tax breaks of being a “charity” whilst they pay there millionaire CEO 1.8million a year and charging us exorbitant fees.
