Romans Chapter Locations 1-4

Romans 1

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

Romans 1

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Romans 1

For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Romans 1

Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Romans 2

You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

Romans 2

All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.

Romans 2

if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark, an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth—

Romans 2

Circumcision has value if you observe the Law, but if you break the Law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised.

Romans 3

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood

For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

Romans 4

For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.

Romans 4

Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring-

Romans 4

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

Romans 5

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5

Just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.

Romans 5

The Law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more.

Romans 6

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.

Romans 6

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Romans 6

For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 7

So then, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous, and good.

Romans 7

We know that the Law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.

Romans 7

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

Romans 7

Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 8

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Romans 8

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Romans 8

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
