mostly older people read physical newspaper making it old-fashioned

They could also be potential bias depending on how the writer wrote it in the newspaper. They could also be out of their crowding meaning the campaign may not be noticeable

  • In 1278 says that if a person survives and lives for a year and a day after the attack the attacker cannot be prosecuted for murder

  • in 1922 Michael Gibson was attacked by David Clark. He was in a coma for 22 months before he died. Michael was charged with GBH and was able to get out of jail before Michael died.

  • The northern echo began justice for Michael with his mum Pam. It urged us to sign a petition demanding that the year and a day will be scrapped

They keep government more responsive to the wishes of the community. They are also able to express views of minority groups and societies.
