Rotational Symmetry (180∘)
A property of certain quadrilaterals, such as the Rhombus, Parallelogram, Rectangle, and Square, where the figure remains unchanged after a rotation of 180∘ around its center.
Regular Octagon
An eight-sided polygon with equal side lengths and interior angles, which can be inscribed in a circle.
Smallest positive angle of rotational symmetry
The minimum degree measure a regular polygon must be rotated to map onto itself, calculated by dividing 360∘ by the number of sides.
Transformation
A general term for changing the position or orientation of a polygon, including rotations, reflections, and translations.
Translation
A transformation that moves every point of a figure the same distance in a specified direction, such as "down" or "right."
Reflection
A transformation that flips a figure across a line, such as a vertical line, a horizontal line, or the x-axis.
Rotation
A transformation that turns a figure about a fixed point, categorized by direction (clockwise or counterclockwise) and degree (e.g., 90∘).

The specific transformation rule used to map △ABC to △A′B′C′, representing a reflection across the x-axis.
Corresponding Angles
Pairs of angles that occupy the same relative position at each intersection where a straight line crosses two others.
Alternate Interior Angles
A pair of angles on opposite sides of the transversal and between the two parallel or non-parallel lines.
Alternate Exterior Angles
A pair of angles on opposite sides of the transversal and outside the two parallel or non-parallel lines.
Same-Side Interior Angles
A pair of angles that are on the same side of the transversal and located between the two lines.
Isosceles Trapezoid
A specific quadrilateral listed in the assessment to be evaluated for rotational symmetry.
Parallelogram
A quadrilateral with two pairs of parallel sides that is identified as having 180∘ rotational symmetry.
Rhombus
A quadrilateral with four equal sides that is identified as having 180∘ rotational symmetry.
