Enigmatic
Mysterious. (adjective)
Example: "The archmage left behind an enigmatic journal written in symbols that no scholar in the kingdom could decipher."
veracious
Truthful, accurate and honest. (adjective)
Example: "Because the scout was known to be entirely veracious, the king trusted his report about the approaching army without question."
ineffable
Too great to be expressed in words. (adjective)
Example: "Standing at the edge of the floating city, she felt an ineffable sense of wonder that left her completely speechless."
ambivalent
To having mixed feelings or contradictory ideas about something. (adjective)
Example: "Henry was ambivalent about accepting the dark magic spell, knowing it offered great power but came with a terrible cost."
meretricious
Seemingly attractive or valuable, but in reality, having no real value. (adjective)
Example: "The rogue quickly realized the crown was meretricious—it gleamed brightly under the torchlight, but was made of cheap, painted lead."
ameliorate
