An extended version of the Latin script containing 29 letters (12 vowels and 17 consonants).
Vietnamese Vowels
The 12 vowel letters in the Vietnamese alphabet: a, ă, â, e, ê, i, o, ô, ơ, u, ư, y.
Vietnamese Consonants
The 17 consonant letters in the Vietnamese alphabet: b, c, d, đ, g, h, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, x.
Letter A
Pronounced /aː/, similar to 'a' in father.
Letter Ă
Pronounced /ʌ/, similar to 'u' in but.
Letter Â
Pronounced /ə/, similar to 'i' in bird.
Letter B
Pronounced /ɓ/, similar to 'b' in begin.
Letter C
Pronounced /k/, similar to 'k' in cat.
Letter D
Pronounced /z/, similar to 'z' in zoo.
Letter Đ
Pronounced /ɗ/, similar to 'd' in done.
Letter E
Pronounced /ɛ/, similar to 'e' in met.
Letter Ê
