Center Tank to Wing Inner Tank Fuel Transfer
Begins when inner wing tank quantities decrease to about 14,000lb and continues until they reach approximately 15,000lb.
Aft Tank to Wing Inner Tank Fuel Transfer
Begins when either wing inner tank quantity decreases to 6,800lb.
Wing Outer to Inner Tank Depletion Threshold
The wing outer tanks deplete into the wing inner tanks when inner tank quantities decrease to about 10,850lb.
APU Fuel Source
Normally provided by the Right wing collector tank.
Longitudinal CG Control Inhibition Factors
CG control is inhibited if the CG CTRL PBA is pressed, if wing-to-wing transfer is active, or if wing inner tank fuel reaches 10,850lb.
Manual Wing-to-Wing Transfer Monitoring
Required because there is no automatic shutdown or overfill protection provided for the manual system.
Refuel/Defuel Panel Power Source
MAIN BATT BUS; this allows refueling without requiring external or airplane-generated power.
SOV FAIL Message (Refuel Pre-test)
Indicates that fuel flow will not stop automatically when the tank is full.
Global 7500 Engine Model
General Electric (GE) Passport 20-19BB1A.
Maximum ITT Limits
750ºC for Ground starts, 875ºC for Air starts, and 975ºC for Quick Windmill Relight.
Takeoff Thrust Limitations
Limited to 5 minutes with all engines operating and 10 minutes with one engine inoperative.
Max Starter Engagement RPM
56%N2; engagement above this value is not possible due to the starter clutch design.
Starter Duty Cycles (1-2)
5 minutes ON, followed by a 5 minute cool down between starts.
Starter Duty Cycles (3-10)
5 minutes ON, followed by a 15 minute cool down between starts.
Minimum Engine Start Oil Temperature
−40°C, indicated when the value turns GREEN.
TO Power Oil Temperature Requirement
Minimum of +43ºC before selection, indicated when the value turns GREEN.
Maximum Continuous Oil Temperature
160°C, indicated when the value turns RED.
Sea Level Engine Thrust Rating
18,920lb at sea level up to 30ºC (ISA+15ºC).
FADEC Power Sources
The Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA) is the primary source; aircraft power is used during starting or PMA failure.
Maximum Engine Oil Consumption
0.31US quarts/hour (0.29liters/hour).
Engine Oil Replenishment Requirements
Engines OFF on ground, between 15 and 60 minutes after shutdown, OAT higher than −12°C, and ORS reservoir GREEN.
Oil Replenishment Tank Location
Aft equipment bay.
Oil Replenishment Reservoir Capacity
6.0U.S. quarts (5.7liters).
Engine Oil Cooling System
Utilizes 2 Fuel/Oil and 2 Air/Oil heat exchangers.
Usable Engine Oil Tank Capacity
11.6U.S. quarts (10.9liters).
Engine Run Switch OFF Action
Closes the HPSOV within the fuel metering unit.
Approach Idle Criteria
In flight, Gear down and locked OR SLAT/FLAP 2 (flaps set ≥5º), provided Steep Approach Mode is not selected.
Auto Start Air Envelopes
ATS ENVELOPE (0kt CAS) and WINDMILL ENVELOPE (>250kt and N2>7.5%).
Engine Quick Relight Function
If the ENGINE RUN switch is toggled OFF then ON, the FADEC recovers power settings with adapted fuel schedules and ITT limits.
ENG FLAMEOUT Message Trigger
Appears when N2 reduces abnormally and an automatic relight attempt has failed.
Airborne Engine Start Altitude Limits
Maximum of 30,000ft for standard airborne start and 23,000ft for APU-assisted start.
Thrust Reverser Limitations
Must not be selected in flight, not permitted for touch-and-go landings, and may not be used to back up the airplane.
Thrust Reverser Actuation Power
Actuated by the respective engine hydraulic system and only operates when the associated engine-driven hydraulic pump is pressurized.
Thrust Reverser Unlocked Indications
Red Master Warning, 'L (or R) REVERSER UNLOCKED' aural alert, red REV icon in N1, and FADEC thrust limit to idle.
APU Model
SPU300.
Maximum APU RPM
105%, though the FADEC normally governs it to 100%.
APU Operational Altitude Limits
51,000ft for generator ops, 45,000ft for starting in flight, and 25,000ft for bleed air extraction.
Minimum Cold Soaked APU Start Temperature
−40°C on the ground.
APU Start Attempt Limit
3 attempts per hour.
APU Bleed Air OAT Ground Limit
Maximum 48°C for air conditioning operations.
APU Load Ratings
60KVA up to 45,000ft; reduced to 40KVA above 45,000ft.
APU BCV Manual Operation Restrictions
Inhibited if Anti-Ice is active, LH engine PRV is manually opened, or RH engine PRV and crossbleed valve are manually opened.
APU Door Failed Open Dispatch
Permitted with restrictions, primarily to manage the APU windmilling without lubrication (windmill limit 7%).
