Epithelial

Location: Line (lining lines up) internal and external surfaces

Function: Protect from wear, and infection Many types include squamous, columnar and cuboidal epithelial tissue.

connective

Location:Throughout body, e.g. bones, blood, cartilage, tendons etc

Function:Provides support and protection from damage

All consist of three things

• Fibres

• Cells

• Non-cellular matrix

muscular

Location of all muscles (skeletal smooth cardiac)
Function producing movement - ability Contract

Skeletal voluntary striated many peripheral nuclei

Smooth

cardiac involuntary

nervous

Location nervous system
Function: Receiving and transmitting electrochemical signals
