Bitmap Images
Pixel-based images also known as raster images, made up of pixels that form an image.
Pixel
The smallest unit of a digital image, representing a single point in a bitmap.
Vector Graphics
Graphics created using mathematical equations, allowing for scalability without loss of quality.
Line Art Image
An image consisting of two colors, typically black and white, described using a single bit.
Grayscale Images
Images that consist of various shades of gray along with pure black and white.
Multitone Images
Images composed of shades of two or more colors, commonly seen as duotones.
Full Color Images
Complex bitmap images where each pixel is defined using multiple color spaces.
Bezier Curves
Mathematical curves used in vector graphics to create smooth shapes and lines.
Vectorizing
The process of converting a bitmap image into vector data.
Rasterization
The process of converting vector graphic data into bitmap data.
Screen Capture
A method to capture an image displayed on a screen, saving it as a bitmap.
Resolution
The detail an image holds, crucial for different uses like web pages or printing.
