The Magisterium keeps the teachings of Jesus alive. Apostolic Succession ensures that these teachings are passed down from the apostles to today's bishops. With the Magisterium or Apostolic Succession, the truth could be understood. The Deposit of Faith includes God's revealed truth. The Magisterium protects and explains the Deposit of Faith.
