Indian National Congress (INC)

Consisted of high-caste Indians and the British to compromise for more freedom for the Indian colony. The incredibly slow process that resulted led to radical groups breaking off of the INC, forming a New Party and used terrorism

Leader of a nonviolent movement in India that advocated for independence and equality

Satyagraha

Gandhi’s term for nonviolent resistance

Muslim League

Group of Muslims that split off from the INC that called for the formation of a Muslim state of Pakistan in 1940.
