Bordetella petussis/Whooping cough

Campylobactor jejuni/Food poisoning

disease that can result from uncooked food and causes diarrhea, fever, nasusea, and vomiting

Chlamydia trachomatis/Chlamydia

silent STI, often has no symptoms (leads to PID)

Clostridium botulinum

attacks the body’s nerve cells that causes muscle paralysis and even death. vomiting, nausea, stomach pain (food borne illness)

Clostridioides difficile (C.diff)

stomach tenderness, diarrhea, and loss of appetitie

Clostridium tetani/Tetanus

Known as “lock jaw” and attacks the body’s nerve cells (seizures, and painful muscle stiffness)

Corynebacterium diphtheriae

mild fever, grayish coating in the tonsils, thick mucus membrane in nose/throat

Escherichia coli (E.Coli)

severe nausea, vomiting, and watery diarrhea for several days (caused by contaminated water)

Group B Streptococci

common new borns (makes it harder to breathe, has a blueish color in skin)

Haemophilus influenzae

difficulty breathing (especially when leaning forward), muffled and hoarse voice

Helicobacter pylori

stomach ulcers, bloat, frequent burping, nausea

Legionella pneumophila

form of pneumonia (makes it hard to breathe) and causes discomfort)

Neisseria meningitidis

Stiff neck (causes vomiting, fever), symptoms can become severe very quick.

Neisseria gonorrhoeae

increased discharge and burning sensation when peeing

Hot tub rash (pseudomonas infection)

sore throat, white mucus on tonsils, difficulty swallowing, fever, swollen lymph nodes.

Vibrio cholerae

caused by contaminated water, rice water stools, vomiting, leg cramps
