Scan your email copy for spam triggers, words, and phrases. While it is a critical item on your pre-deployment checklist.

Find ‘Content Detective’ and scan your email and text

Email Studio → click on ‘Content’ tab → Locate the email asset you want to scan in your folder grid. → Click the down arrow (dropdown menu) on the right side of the screen next to your email. → Select ‘Content Detective’ from the list of actions. → The system will automatically scan your HTML and Text views, displaying a pop-up report with any flagged spam triggers and recommended fixes.

‘Validate’ tool

Scans exclusively for technical compliance and system code errors (e.g., missing Unsubscribe links, missing physical mailing addresses, broken AMPscript syntax, or missing dynamic content blocks)

Required System Snippets: Missing mandatory links like %%unsub_center_url%% (Unsubscribe) or the required physical mailing address layout.

Syntax Breakages: Unclosed AMPscript tags or incorrect personalization strings.

Dynamic Code Errors: Broken rule sets or completely empty default values inside your standard or Enhanced Dynamic Content (EDC) blocks.

Email Studio -> ‘Content’ tab -> click your specific email, it launches you into the main email properties and editing window. The ‘Validate’ button sits directly inside the top-right toolbar next to the ‘Save and Preview and Test’ options.
