Test Tube
A glass tube closed at one end used for mixing liquids, solids, or solutions for a simple chemical test.
Vial
A small cylindrical glass or plastic bottle used for storing small amounts of solids or liquids.
Beaker
A deep, wide-mouthed cylindrical vessel with calibration marks and a pouring lip, used for mixing or heating solutions when a flask is not available.
Erlenmeyer Flask
A conical glass flask with a long neck and flat bottom, used to contain and heat chemical solutions.
Florence Flask
A long-necked flask with a rounded body, used as a reaction vessel and in some gas experiments.
Volumetric Flask
A flat-bottom, thin-walled glass flask with a long narrow neck used to prepare solutions at a precise concentration.
Reagent Bottle
A glass container with a narrow neck, closed by a stopper, used for storing reagents.
Graduated Cylinder
A glass container with calibration marks used to measure liquid volume accurately.
Pipette
A long graduated glass tube used to measure and transfer precise volumes from reagent bottles.
Aspirator
A rubber device used to suction liquids into a pipette and to clean balance pans.
Burette
A long graduated tube used for volumetric analysis or titration to measure precise volumes of liquid.
Dropper
A short glass tube with a constricted end and a rubber bulb used to dispense liquids dropwise.
Stirring Rod
A straight slender glass rod used to stir solutions and aid in transferring liquids.
Watch Glass
A flat circular piece of glass used to cover beakers to prevent contamination or evaporation.
Glass Funnel
A hollow cone with a stem used to support filter paper and facilitate pouring liquids.
Thermometer
A device used to measure temperature, read in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Mortar and Pestle
Ceramic tools used to grind solids into a powder.
Crucible and Cover
A container used for heating or melting small amounts of substances at high temperatures.
Evaporating Dish
A shallow porcelain dish used to evaporate solvent from solutions to obtain solids.
Iron Stand
A solid iron rod mounted on a base used to support or mount apparatus.
Iron Ring
A circular iron ring on an iron stand to support beakers and hold wire gauze in place.
Iron Clamp
An iron device used to support a test tube, flask, or other apparatus.
Burette Clamp
A metallic device used to hold burettes in titration.
Tripod
A three-legged stand used to support apparatus, especially when heating.
Wire Gauze
A thin metal screen with a central insulating material used to support and protect vessels from direct flame.
Test Tube Holder
A metallic device used to hold a test tube safely during heating or when it contains corrosive reagents.
Crucible Tong
Tongs used to handle hot crucibles and evaporating dishes.
Clay Triangle
A triangular structure used to support crucibles for direct heating.
Test Tube Rack
A wooden rack used to hold and organize test tubes for ready access.
Spatula
A small flat instrument used for spooning out small amounts of solids.
Alcohol Lamp
A glass-bottomed lamp filled with denatured alcohol to provide heat in the laboratory.
Bunsen Burner
A gas-fueled burner used to apply heat in laboratory experiments.
Triple Beam Balance
A mechanical balance calibrated in grams with 0.1 g sensitivity up to 610 g.
Top-Loading Electronic Balance
A digital balance with a display used to measure masses up to 300 g with 0.01 g readability.
