Atomic number (Z)
The specific indicator of the number of protons in the nucleus of an atom of a chemical element.
Neutral state
The state of an atom where the atomic number equals the number of electrons.
Fixed status of Atomic Number
The property that the atomic number is constant for every specific element, unlike the number of neutrons which may vary.
Mass Number
The sum of protons and neutrons in the atom of a chemical element.
Atomic Mass
The total value made up of both protons and neutrons together.
Lithium (Li) Atomic Number
Represented by the subscript value of 3, indicating the number of protons.
Lithium (Li) Mass Number
Represented by the superscript value of 7, indicating the sum of protons and neutrons.
