Oxygen Capacity

The oxygen carrying capacity of the blood calculated as Hgb x 1.36 ml/O2/gm Hgb.

Oxygen Content

The oxygen content within a blood sample calculated as Saturation x 1.36 x Hgb.

AVO2 Difference

The arteriovenous oxygen difference, calculated as CaO2 - CvO2, representing the oxygen content difference between arterial and venous samples.

Oxygen Consumption

The maximum amount of oxygen used during maximum effort, measured in ml O2/min/m2.

Cardiac Output

The amount of blood pumped from the heart each minute, calculated as Stroke Volume x Heart Rate.

Cardiac Index

Represents the cardiac output for a specific body size, calculated as Cardiac Output / Body Surface Area.
