The calculation of magnification achieved by a microscope, determined by multiplying the eyepiece magnification by the objective lens magnification.
Chloroplasts
Organelles found in plant cells that capture light energy to perform photosynthesis.
Central Vacuole
A large organelle in plant cells that stores water and provides structural support.
Cell Wall
A rigid outer layer of plant cells that provides protection and support.
Nucleus
The membrane-bound organelle in eukaryotic cells that contains the genetic material.
Independent Variable
The variable that is changed or controlled in an experiment to test its effects on the dependent variable.
Dependent Variable

Scientific Method
A systematic process used for experimentation that includes making observations, forming a hypothesis, and testing it.
Control Group
The group in an experiment that does not receive the experimental treatment and is used as a benchmark.
Qualitative Data
Descriptive data that can be observed but not measured.
Quantitative Data
