Skeletal muscle

Cardiac muscle

Muscle found only in the heart; involuntary and striated.

Smooth muscle

Involuntary muscle found in organs like intestines and blood vessels.

Adductors

Pull limbs toward the body.

Abductors

Pull limbs away from the body.

Flexors

Bend joints.

Extensors

Straighten joints.

Constricters

Narrow or close openings (like blood vessels or pupils).

Brachiocephalicus

Muscle that moves the head and forelimb.

Sternomastoid

Muscle that turns the head.

Sternohyoid

Muscle that moves the hyoid bone.

Masseter

Main jaw muscle used for chewing.

Biceps

Muscle on the front of the upper arm; flexes the forelimb.

Triceps

Muscle on the back of the upper arm; extends the forelimb.
