what is brownian motion?
the random zigzag motion of particles suspended in a fluid
what causes brownian motion?
the movement of larger, heavier particles such as smoke particles in air
how can particles be proved to exist?
the suspension of polysterene spheres witj diameter 1nm in a solution
under a microscope observe the spheres and you’ll see them moving randomly
this shows the existence of smaller particles colliding with the spheres, causing the motion
how do you find the number of moles using the molar mass and total mass?
number of moles= total mass÷molar mass
draw the speed variation graph
