Beaker

Used for mixing, storing, stirring and heating liquids (NOT used for precise measurements)

Graduated cylinder

Accurately measures the volume of liquids

Erlenmeyer Flask

Conical shape that allows for easy swirling without spilling. Minimizes evaporation because of narrow neck. Ideal for mixing liquids.

Bunsen Burner

Used for heating, sterilizing, and other combustion purposes. Single, adjustable, open flame.

Gas Tubing

Delivers gas to the Bunsen burner.

Hot Plate

Used for heating substances. Has 2 components: a magnetic stirrer and a heating element

Magnetic Stir Bar

Used with a hot plate to continuously stir substances.

Balance

Measures the mass of a substance

Well Plate

Used to conduct small-scale reactions simultaneously

Weigh boat

Used to hold/contain substances while taking the mass

Glass Stir Rod

Used to mix solutions

Watch Glass

A surface used to evaporate liquids, weight solids, heat substances, or to cover glassware from contamination.
