Epithelium
Lining of the body cavities and surfaces, consisting of one or more layers of cells.
The Endosteum
A deep, thin layer that lines the shaft on the bone and medullary cavity in the Diaphysis of Long Bones.
Epiphysis
The end parts of long bones where the Red Bone Marrow is found
Epiphyseal Line
The line that shows where the diaphysis and epiphysis parts of long bones were fused together after separate development.
The Periosteum
a superficial thin layer of dense connective tissue that encases the bones everywhere except at the joints
Articular Cartilage
Cartilage Found on the outer ends of the long bones (Epiphysis ends), and help bones glide past one another
Nutrient Foramina
Piercings where nerves and blood vessels travel through compact bones.
Perforating Fibers
Deep penetrations from the periosteum and lead to the bone matrix to help with attachment to the bones
