EHR and EMR

EHR is an electronic health record for one individual at one health system like RR medical center

EMR is a more comprehensive digital version of a patient's paper chart from many health organizations that have been involved in the patient care.

the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, which was enacted as part of the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

They have until 2015 to adopt health IT and offered incentives to adopt them, if not they take withold money from meidcare payments
