Present Simple
A tense used for actions that happen regularly, for stating facts, or with state verbs not usually used in continuous tenses (e.g., know, like, love, mind).
Present Continuous
A tense used for actions happening at this moment or around this time.
Weird
Strikingly odd or unusual in appearance or character.
Formal
Suitable for official or serious occasions, distinct from casual style.
Baggy
Loose-fitting and hanging loosely on the body.
Cardigan
A knitted jacket or sweater typically open or fastened at the front.
Hankie
Short for handkerchief; in the text, worn in the hair to keep long hair out of the face.
Niece
A daughter of one's brother or sister.
Suit (verb)
To enhance the appearance of someone or look good on them (e.g., "Grey suits you").
Wavy hair
Hair characterized by gentle curves or wave shapes rather than tight curls or straight strands.
Straight hair
Hair without any curves, waves, or curls.
