  • Formed 10 January 1920

  • After ww1, people wanted to prevent future wars from happening and created this to deter aggression

  • Promote disarmament so that countries had smaller weapons and smaller armies

  • Improve global welfare by tackling issues like labour rights, health, and refugees.
