PIID Document # 5: Guidelines for Standard Fees
This states the the Guidelines for Standard Fees and Contract Agreement.
Encompasses the overall scope of work for interior design projects. The diverse nature if a design project may involve certain concerns which the interior designer may adopt for a specific project.
Earnings
Usually takes form in: Salary, Fixed contract amount for goods and services, Standard rates for services rendered based on time, overhead and materials.
Consultation
Purchasing and/or sourcing of decorative artifacts, furniture, furnishings, etc. with the Client (local or foregin). On-site furniture and accessories arrangements, like exhibits.
P 500, P 1,500, P 10,000, accommodation
Consultation fee has a minimum of _________ to a maximum of _________ or a lump sum of _________ per day, plus transportation, _________, food, and pier diem.

Small projects with maximum floor area of 75sqm. (Clinics, Boutiques).

Repetitive Work
For projects such as hotel rooms, etc. whose basic design is repeated.
Full payment, percentage
For Repetitive Work, the Interior Designer will be paid: _________ for design for 1 unit. _________ of the one unit for the succeeding sets of units.
Renovation and Repair Works
In this type of project, the Interior Designer will have to evaluate and assess the existing conditions, working drawings, furniture, electrical and plumbing conditions, etc.

Preliminary Meeting

Design Development Phase
- Floor plan with furniture layout.
- Wall elevations and sections.
- RCP with lighting fixture layout.
- Auxiliary Layout
- Electrical switches and outlets locations plans
- Schedule of window treatment
- Schedule of doors (if required)
- Materials and finishing swatch boards
- Rendered perspectives presentations
- Itemized furniture drawings
- Cabinet details
- Floor pattern details
- Other working details
Auxiliary layout
Layout that includes the sprinklers, speakers, air-conditioning diffusers, smoke detectors, fire devices, etc.
Contract Document and Coordination Phase
- Phase when we select contractors.
- Verification of check prints fro Engineers
- Budgetary Estimates
- 7 sets of blueprints
- Technical specifications
- Necessary engineering designs, if required
- Bi review, if required
Construction Phase
- Periodic site supervision (as specified)
- Coordination with General Contractor, Specialty, Sub-contractors and Project Manager/Construction Manager.
Professional Fees
This shall be paid in accordance with the progress of services rendered.
