Plantarflexion (Foot)
Downward pointing of the foot; muscles involved: Gastrocnemius, Soleus, Tibialis posterior, Flexor hallucis longus, Flexor digitorum longus, Peroneus longus, Peroneus brevis, Plantaris.
Dorsiflexion (Foot)
Upward movement of the foot toward the shin; muscles: Tibialis anterior, Extensor digitorum longus, Extensor hallucis longus, Peroneus tertius.
Inversion (Foot)
Inward turning of the sole; muscles: Tibialis anterior, Tibialis posterior, Flexor hallucis longus, Flexor digitorum longus, Extensor hallucis longus.
Eversion (Foot)
Outward turning of the sole; muscles: Peroneus longus, Peroneus brevis, Peroneus tertius, Extensor digitorum longus.
Flexion - Digits 2–5
Bending digits 2–5; muscles: Flexor digitorum longus, Flexor digitorum brevis, Quadratus plantae, Lumbricals.
Extension - Digits 2–5
Straightening digits 2–5; muscles: Extensor digitorum longus, Extensor digitorum brevis.
Flexion - Big Toe (Hallux)
Bending the big toe; muscles: Flexor hallucis longus, Flexor hallucis brevis.
Extension - Big Toe (Hallux)
Straightening the big toe; muscle: Extensor hallucis longus.
Flexion - Pinky Toe (Digit 5)
Bending the pinky toe; muscle: Flexor digiti minimi brevis.
Extension - Pinky Toe (Digit 5)
Straightening the pinky toe; muscles: Extensor digitorum longus (lateral slip to 5th toe), Extensor digitorum brevis (slip to 5th toe).
