Storming
Group development stage that involves addressing conflict, establishing norms, clarifying roles, and building trust
Norming
Group development stage that involves building unity, developing shared understanding, establishing processes, and increasing collaboration
Performing
Group development stage that involves achieving goals, continuous improvement, innovation, and high-level problem-solving
Adjourning
Group development stage that applies to temporary teams or project teams that eventually disband

Team effectiveness may entail group cohesion, group efficacy, and communication processes
External Group Process
Includes communication outside the group & external interaction patterns that can indicate team effectiveness
