-6 million people were unemployed in Germany in 1933, but that number decreased to 0 unemployed in 1939.
-He created public works schemes to decrease unemployment. They built autobahns and housing.

Workers Organisations
Strength through Joy (KDF): Organised trips for workers to museums, theatres, sport and other holidays, even cruises. However, very few could afford it.
Beauty of Work: Improved canteen food and working conditions for the workers.

Ordinary citizens
-The Volkswagen scheme took 5 marks a week to fund a car for each household. No one ever got a car.
-To make Hitler's speeches more accessible, free radios were given out to each household to broadcast his speeches- People's Receiver. People were not allowed to listen to any radio other than German radio stations regulated and approved by the Nazi Party.
