Syndesmosis (fibrous joint)

Joint held together by a ligament. Fibrous tissue can vary in length, but is longer than in sutures.

synchondrosis (cartilaginous joint)

a functional classification of joints in which the connecting material is hyaline cartilage

symphysis joint

-bone connected to bone by fibrocartilage

Joint cavity containing small amount of synovial fluid secreted by synovial membrane into a potential space

oval or triangular medial end that articulates with the sternum to form the lateral walls of the jugular notch
