Why are you interested in the Service Technician role?

I am really drawn to the variety of technical tools and domains that are covered in the technician role (networking, hardware management, helping users remotely, documentation). I like that breadth and that being fluent in multiple systems and not just one. I have good systems and networking fundamentals gained through my CS degree, and so being able to leverage that toward helping others with technical issues and help them feel confident getting back up to speed with their work and that sense of impact really speaks to me.

I have long been a source of tech support amongst family and friends, including other IT technicians, and have experience troubleshooting internet connectivity, printers, software, slow computers, among many other problems. I have a very positive and patient attitude that I think compliments my customer service skills, and so I think that fits really well with what Internetworks is looking for in the technician role. And I would be happy to answer any questions you have about that, but that is a brief summation of my general interest and fit.

Why do you want to work at Internetworks?

I want to work with Internetworks because the company’s focus on helping people, working together, and whether its employees or the community at large. I think that Internetworks B corp certification also really speaks to the broader mission of doing business in a sustainable way that is really beneficial not just to the company but to all parties involved and the world at large.

That mission is equally important to me. And, it makes me very eager to be a part of a team that’s making a positive impact, and the technician position is a role where I can grow and leverage my technical expertise in a way that is further in service of that shared goal.
