what is endometriosis?

abdominal pain, back pain, menorrhagia, painful intercourse, possible infertility

painless nodules that are irregular and firm

spotting, decreased BP, decrease in Hcg
what is a hydatiform mole?
a non viable embryo which develops in the placenta and presents with all the signs of pregnancy

malignancy of the placenta due to abnormal epithelium

bilateral breast tenderness made worse with caffeine intake, ovulation or periods

fluid filled mass in the epididymis that is a painless moveable pea size lump located in superior posterior to the testicle

transilluminates light
what is a hydrocele?
excess accumulations of water in testicle that is swollen, painless, heavy and tight
what distinguishes a hydrocele from a scrotal hernia?
the ability topalpate above the mass
what is epididymitis?
the scrotum is enlarged and tender
what is epidiymitis a consequence of?
an STI
what is the most common form of cancer in males 20-34?
testicular cancer
how does testicular cancer present?
painless nodule on or in the testicle that does not transilluminate light
what does benign prostatic hyperplasia feel like?
enlarged, non tender, firm smooth with loss of median sulcus
what does prostatis feel like?
boogy, soft, enlarged and tender
what does prostatic carcinoma feel like?
posterior lobe is hard, nodular, painless and enlarged
