Egg
The first stage of a frog's life cycle, laid in clusters in water and protected by a jelly-like substance.
Embryos
The tiny organisms found inside frog eggs that represent the first step in creating a new frog.
Tadpole
The second stage of the life cycle where the baby frog has a long tail, no legs, and breathes through gills.
Gills
The organs through which tadpoles breathe while swimming in the water, similar to fish.
Froglet
The third stage of the life cycle where the tadpole develops legs and the tail begins to shrink.
Lungs
The organs froglets begin learning to breathe through as they become less dependent on the water and their gills.
Adult Frog
The final stage where the tail is completely gone and legs are fully formed, making the frog adapted for life on land.
Tongue
A long and sticky organ used by frogs to catch insects quickly.
