They also “other” people less “black” than them to prove they are closer to it than others. Have cornrows, use the n-word (africana-american vernacular english AAVE) and dress like hip-hoppers —> example is ghetto thug.

Pink Dot, gay Singaporians (Tan, Singapore, 2015) - only partial citizens as homophobic society. they are not fertile so do not bring economic value. many rights are diminished - only allowed to buy property at 30 + limited market for them. Bc this, relegate sexuality to private sphere
