Primary Dentition

First primary mandibular central incisor
Erupt between ages 6 to 10 months.
Primary dentition completion
2 to 3 years with primary mandibular central incisors and end with root formation in the primary maxillary second molar.
Primary teeth root completion
1 year with young females shed and have permanent teeth earlier than young males.
Primary dentition
No premolars. Permanent premolars replaces primary molars. Permanent molars erupt distal to primary second molars.

Whiter crown color, smaller overall size, prominent cervical ridge, narrower roots, short crown, crown more constricted or narrower at the cementoenamel junction(CEJ), bulbous, occlusal table narrower, contact broad and flat, smaller crown to root ratio, molar roots flare more, pulp chambers and pulp horns are relatively large(mesial pulp horns), pulp horn under each cusp, thin enamel, thin dentin(caries will reach pulp chamber quicker), smooth enamel surface on microscope.
