Methods used to estimate values, specifically through rounding and the use of significant figures.

Significant figures

A specific method of number approximation used to indicate precision.

An algebraic process of multiplying terms, such as transforming $3a(2a+4b)$ into a simplified form.

Factorizing

The process of breaking down an algebraic expression into a product of its factors.

Linear equations

Mathematical statements of equality involving variables to the first power, such as $2x+4=10$.

Graphing straight lines

The visual representation of linear equations on a coordinate plane.
